Tex-relax Day

Yep, I Tex- relaxed my hair on Saturday June 12th, as I planned. I end my stretch at 12 weeks post with few days. Let just say 12 week post. This is part 2 of my hair journey. I have to say I was very nervous few days before the relaxer, even on the day. I didn't relax bone straigh anymore.

I use the ORS super strength as my hair is coarse.
Here is the step done after my relaxer:
Use the clarifying shampoo provide in the pack three for 3, 3 and 5 minutes each time.
Use the Aphogee 2 minutes reconstructor for 2 minutes only
Use the Roux Porosity Control for 1 minute.
Use the ORS replenishing pak for 1 hour without heat. I had to clean and cook. I was every busy housewife last Saturday.
After I was the conditioner out, and use the following:
- Herbal Essences Split End Protector for Long Hair
- Neutrogena Triple moisture silk touch leave in
- ApHogee Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer
- ORS Olive Oil Replenishing Conditioner provide in the pak.
Can’t really remember the order, I don’t think it makes a different. If it does, please halla me
As I have not been using heat on my hair, expect the hair bonnet and the hood dryer. I didn’t blow-dry or flat iron.
As per the picture below, I think I have just hit SL SL SL SL .. I AM VERY HAPPYYYYYYYYYY.
I know that some many have longer hair them me, but I have to say that I came to realise that sacrifice, hard work, time, patient and some investment will pay off.
It is so tick compare to the previous picture, I guess this is due to the castor oil and the fact I don’t use heat.
On one side, I feel that my hair didn’t grow that much; I wish It could be longer and I will work harder and wait …
One more thing, I didn’t trim my hair, but I will dust my end this weekend.

Texlaxed Day

I have finally texlaxed my hair. I didn’t relax as planned.

After 9 months of stretching which was the first time. I am glad I did it.
My hair is much stronger, shiner, healthier and most of all I have less breakage.
I have to say I have learned a lot during this time of stretching, but I will not starching for 9 months anymore. Like I said I will perm my hair every 4 months.
It is hard work to deal with 3 types of hair for long.
Concerning my relax day, I was first sick, so I couldn’t relax on the planed day.
I use “ORS NO-LYE Relaxer” Normal instead “super “even though my hair is type 4 ab Coarse.
I didn’t want to relax bone straight, so I just texlaxed. After texlaxing, I didn’t a protein treatment with “ ORS Olive Oil Replenishing Conditioner” . As we all know, your hair need more protein and moisture treatment after a relaxer.
For about 3 weeks before, I was doing some protein treatment to get my hair ready for the Relaxer.
I have done a length check yet, just been very busy at work. ( so crazy, doing more them 10 hours daily ), but I will do some later
Here are some pictures

Tip on Streching your Relaxer

Here are few tips to keep in mind when stretching your relaxer:

-Keep your hair moistures. It is the most important thing. Try to moisture daily and seal the moisture with a good natural oil. The new grown tend to be brittle and dry.
-Co-washing is another must. It is washing your hair with conditioner instead of shampoo. This will make them more manageable and keep your all hair moisturise. This is advisable 2-3 time a weeks.
- Low manipulation. This is also important. Try not to comb your hair every day, this will lead to breakage.
- Instead. Protect your hair. They are some many protective style out that and you will see look cute.
-Use a leave in Condition to keep you hair always moisture and condition.
- The main one for my opinion is Deep condition. This is so important. I will never stop talking about how deep conditioning your hair is great. It is the best care you can do to this. I deep condition my hair twice a week.
- Shampoo your hair at least once a month. I use ACV (Apple cider Vinegar) every last Saturday of the month. This helps me remove all the build up on my hair.
-Proteins treatment, this also helps strengthens your hair. Be careful not to overdo, this may lead to breakage.
-Try to figurate out which products are working for you and keep journal with note.
-Take picture at least every 3-6 months. You will see progress .
