Baggy Methode

What is a baggy method? Baggy method is a way of retaining moisture in your hair. Every time, I think that my hair is get too dry, I will do my baggy method. This is great because you hair will be fully moisturize so no breakage, so slip end and result growth length and healthy hair.
Different type of baggy that we can use? And how do you use them?
It all depends on the individual.
This is how I baggy my end most of time.
- Moisturize you entire hair with one of your favorite moisturize and seal with your light oil.
Put my hair in a pony tail and they put a plastic cap or saran wrap over my head and add my stain scarf.
I usually do this overnight. And the next day, if I think it is fine, them I move on with my daily activities.
You can also baggy your end only. This mean after moisturizing, put my hair in a pony tail and they put a plastic cap or saran wrap on my end only.

So far I didn’t have any issue with this. Even though I you may have mushy and wet hair when you baggy the whole hair, I try not put too much moisturize on my hair. The fact that my hair will be inside and the heat of my hair, I should be fine with a small amount of moisturize.
But I would say:
• Do NOT saturate the hair with moisturizers, water, and other products
• If your hair becomes mushy and wet...wash and start fresh. Your hair is over moisturized.
• Make sure the baggy is tight. NO air!
• Make sure the elastic from the bag isn't around your hair. If you baggy your entire head pull the shower cap down as much as possible and cover it with a satin bonnet for comfort.
This is a very good treatment for damaged and dry hair

Myths and Reality about Hair

They are some many Myths out there about Black hair which are not true. I use to believe to some of those, but now I can testify that all of them are just not true
Instead this is what I think from my experience:
First we should know that
-All hair including black hair grows an average of 1/2 inch per month.
-Black hair is the driest hair type in all the races on the planet
- Hair is dead. Not alive!
-- A good nutrition and good exercise will help you grown your hair
 My hair is not like yours, I have bad hair.
You hair may be different from her type of hair, but if you take good care of it and have a good regimen with good product, you will see good result.
 My hair just won’t grow. I have tried everything, but nothing is happening.
Are you sure you had a good regimen with (moisturize sealing, co- washing, deep condition, hot oil treatment,) with good quality products. Avoiding the blue magic stuff that we food in the beauty supplier. It takes about 3 months to see if a products is working for you.
 I don’t like my hair, I prefer wearing weave, braid or.
It is funny that we take care of our braid, weave, weavon, dreadlock so much. If we do the same with our hair, then we will also like this.
 It is just too much work for me. This is only hair all.
 For the first month, it will take you more time, because you are not use to it. Once you passed 1-3 months and you begging to see the result, you will be more excited to continue, and remember to simplify your regimen. After it usually take about 10 minutes a day, unless you are streching longer then you may have to be more careful because of the 3 type of hair that you will have.
 My hair will not lay down, unless I use gel.
Most of gels contain alcohol which is very bad for us. They dry out of hair. This is lead to breakage. My own opinion, the only gel I will use is Aloe Vera gel. This pure and doesn’t contain alcohol, but also promote hair grown.
 I know that my hair will never look as good an long like her hair
I will only say that if after 1-2 year of trying different regimen with product noting happen. Also there are few thing that we most keep in mind. Do you drink enough water? Do you smoke? Do you exercise weekly? Do eat enough of vegetable, fruit? Do you drink alcohols often? I think we can all grow our hair if we really want to.
 It is genetic to have long and good hair.
Yes, it Is genetic to have longer hair, but if you try to make some effort, you can see some different.
 She is a stylist, she should have known better.
But it is you hair. You are the one paying her. She/ he ca only do what you are paying for. If she/ he doesn’t want to do it. Them do it yourself or change the stylist. It will save you more and along the way, you can learn more about you own hair.
 My hair stops growing since… The last time my hair grew was…
How do you know that your hair has stop growing? You may need to check you end. May be you have some slip end therefore you hair won’t grow. May be you hair is breaking at the same stage as it is growing. And last, do you have a regimen? Do you take care of you hair?
 We have to face it, we don’t have beautiful hair like them
They have beautiful hair, but do you know what they do for that hair? Even though it is genetic, they still have to wash it, condition it..
 I am too busy, I don’t have time to take care of my hair
I don’t think you can’ be busy to take care of you hair. If you don’t do it then who will do it ?
 The grease (like Pertolum, Mineral and many others …) will stop the itchy scalp.
First Petroleum and mineral are grease and they clogged your scalp. Your scalp will be dirty and no grow. It you have itchy scalp you may need to understand the origin of this first. These greases will not definitely help you.
 The grease will make my hair grown
Only they will do is clogged you scalp.
 When I was younger, the told me not to wash my hair often. It will break
I can testify and I know that many out there can also testify that washing help me growing my hair.
 Relax, make my hair grow
Relaxer doesn’t make you hair grown, it only straight it.
 I don’t want to trim my hair. It will not grow.
I can testify and I know that many out there can also testify that washing help me growing my hair. I trim my hair last year in August and today it had grown longer then that. Only trim if you think that you end are thin and damaged.
I hope this help.>>>>>>>

Tip on Streching your Relaxer

Here are few tips to keep in mind when stretching your relaxer:

-Keep your hair moistures. It is the most important thing. Try to moisture daily and seal the moisture with a good natural oil. The new grown tend to be brittle and dry.
-Co-washing is another must. It is washing your hair with conditioner instead of shampoo. This will make them more manageable and keep your all hair moisturise. This is advisable 2-3 time a weeks.
- Low manipulation. This is also important. Try not to comb your hair every day, this will lead to breakage.
- Instead. Protect your hair. They are some many protective style out that and you will see look cute.
-Use a leave in Condition to keep you hair always moisture and condition.
- The main one for my opinion is Deep condition. This is so important. I will never stop talking about how deep conditioning your hair is great. It is the best care you can do to this. I deep condition my hair twice a week.
- Shampoo your hair at least once a month. I use ACV (Apple cider Vinegar) every last Saturday of the month. This helps me remove all the build up on my hair.
-Proteins treatment, this also helps strengthens your hair. Be careful not to overdo, this may lead to breakage.
-Try to figurate out which products are working for you and keep journal with note.
-Take picture at least every 3-6 months. You will see progress .

Streching your Relaxer

Over the past years, I relaxed my hair at maximum, every 2 months. Which I think it is bad.
Last year, I decide to take care of my hair properly, so I say to myself I will only relax my hair three times in a year which is every 4months. This year my first relax will be in March
Stretching your relaxer is extending the time between your recent relaxer to the next one. This will help you hair to get healthier, it will save you money and can lead to longer hair growth.
Relaxing your hair too often can make it thin, limp and lifeless. We do this out of fear of breakage at the demarcation line and/or simply from the fact that we don't know how to "tame" our new growth.
While stretching, you have to listen to your hair. If you are doing everything and you start experiment breakage and shedding, it may be time for you to stop the stretching and relax.
Stretching will help you not to overlap your hair, applying new relax on the hair that is already relax.
Stretching chemical processes reduces the number of lines of demarcation between previously relaxed hair and touch-ups; lines of demarcation are the weaker areas of hair that are the most prone to breakage.
But it is not easy to stretch your relaxer longer, especially with black hair, you will have to deal with 3 type of hair :
- New growth: which not all always easy, depend on the type of hair you have.
- Demarcation line: which is the line where the natural hair ends and the relaxed hair starts. This part is usually fragile and need extra care to prevent breakage. Your hair is thicker and your chemically treated hair is not only thinner but also weaker. The best way to keep your relaxed hair from breaking off from your natural hair is to do protein treatments. The protein will keep the line of demarcation strong and your hair breakage-free.
- Relaxer hair, which usually on top.
Don't be alarmed if it's not easy to stretch your hair relaxer at first. You'll learn what your hair needs to adjust to the new schedule while staying manageable.
Stretching is not for everyone and if you’re not doing it right, you may notice breakage as a result of stretching. It is advice that you stop immediately. The goal is healthy hair.

Benefit of Honey

Honey is a natural humectant, which means it attracts and holds on to water molecules, making a great treatment for dry, damaged hair. Honey contains vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, and therefore is a wonderful beauty aid that nourishes the skin and the hair.

Honey is an amazing antibacterial substance which is comprised of sugars like glucose and fructose and minerals (like magnesium, potassium, calcium, sodium chlorine, sulphur, iron and phosphate), vitamins (such as B1, B2, C, B6, B5, B3), trace elements (like copper, iodine, and zinc) as well as amino acids.
To give your hair lustrous shine, mix 1 teaspoon of honey into 4 cups of warm water
when doing a deep conditioning boost, add a tablespoon of honey and oil to your conditioner and let penetrate for 30-45 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Despite its sticky texture, the honey treatment will rinse easily from the hair, as long as you are using equal parts of honey and oil.
Your hair should feel softer and more manageable.
Since I found out about the good benefit of Honey, I personally add 1 tablespoon of honey into all my deep condition. I am currently 7 months post relaxer and I have to say this is one of the things that help me on the stretching. By using Honey, your hair will always be shine, soft, more manageable and moisturise. Honey attracts and holds the moisture to our Hair.

Products Review

I usually use Herbal Essence or Aussie conditioner for my co wash.
About 3 weeks ago, I went to “Boot” to check if they have any deal on hair product as they always have. Especially if you have their reward card, you can also use your point to buy products. So I saw the “Boot Coconut & Almond Intensive Hair Mask”.
I bought this and the same night, I use it for my co-wash,
This product only cost 2.99 Euro, but I have to say… I was really impressed with the quality of the product.
The inside is white; it feels like a cream not too heavy. It smells so wonderfully, It smells like coconut especially if you are not sleeping alone...
As per instruction, I keep it on my hair for 5 minutes with a shower cap while I was getting shower.
After,  washing my hair with harm water . I noticed that my hair including, my new growth fell so so smooth, so moisturized and even thought I am over 6 months posts relax. My hair was tangle free after using it.
I love it so much that I add more again. Anyway, it is only 2.99 Euro.
I will definitely purchase this again, and again.
Since then, I have been rotating with the other cheap conditioner I have for my co-washes.
Ingredients:
Aqua (water), Cetyl Alcohol, Cocamide MEA, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Phenoxyethanol, Cetrimonium Chloride, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Latic Acid, Citric Acid, Prunus Amygdalas Dulcis Oil, Dipropylene Glycol, Propylene glycol, Parfum, Cocos Nucifera Extract, Sorbital, Methylparabe,
They say this product should: smooth frizz, leaving your hair soft, shiny, tangle free and deeply moisturized. This is also great for Normal to dry Hair.
I say: this product does exactly what it says.

Happy Valentine Day

I just want to say quick note to say “happy valentine” to all of you especially to all those who are following me on my blog.
I will appreciate you…. And I really hope you all had a wonderful time.
And Thanks Again...

Hair Tips

ere are some random tips; I am trying to following on my hair journey.

I hope this will also help others.
The order on the following doesn’t really matter.
* Use a moisturizing conditioner after every shampoo or simple co wash your hair. This can be done every week with products that do not contain alcohol or harsh sulfates and are PH balanced. While washing, massage your scalp. This will reawaken sleeping follicles and promote thicker healthier hair. Your hair won't grow if your scalp isn't clean and healthy
* Keep your ends moisturized daily above 15%.The average person’s hair moisture content ranges “between” 8% to 10%. Yet, due to the styling techniques used on African hair everyday, such as curling irons, blow dryers, etc… our’ hair moisture content usually falls much lower than the 8% range. This leads to breakage and dryness and makes it difficult for our hair to grow beyond the nape of the neck. To combat this and increase moisture, our desiring longer hair must start using natural hair care products high in natural oils, that keep our hair moisturized. TRY TO AVOID PRODUCT petroleum jelly, petrolatum or mineral oil, THEY TEND TO DRY OUR HAIR.
* After using a daily moisturize, seal your end with light oil ( Avocado oil, olive oil, …) These oils can also be used to relieve a dry scalp. Never use hair oil on relaxed hair as a moisturizer as oil does NOT moisturize the hair but rather functions as a sealant (meaning it protects the cuticle layer from damage and moisture loss). If your hair is well conditioned you won't need any daily moisturizers at all--you can instead apply a small amount oil daily to prevent moisture loss. For best results, choose a lightweight oil (such as jojoba, coconut, almond, or olive oil) rub a small amount (1-2 drops) in the palm of your hand and spread lightly through the hair, focusing on the ends of the hair and then work up toward the rest of the hair length. Applying a small amount of oil to wet hair can also act as a leave-in conditioner and provides excellent conditioning in preparation for the next shampooing.
* Avoid using heat for daily styling. The excessive heat causes dryness, damage and breakage. Air drying hair is the best method. Using heat to dry your hair, especially if your hair is relaxed hair, it will somewhat damaged. Hair should be left to air dry at least partially before using a blow-dryer on a low to medium temperature setting.
* Don't over-relax your hair. This is where all of your washing and conditioning treatments can either pay off or be sabotaged by damage. First of all, do not relax your hair more than once a month. Be careful not to relax hair “bone straight.” This robs the hair of its natural elasticity and causes it to break easily. Assess your hair before attempting to relax it. It may only need to be washed, moisturized, and straightened with a heat tool. If you must relax it, choose a mild relaxer or use a "press" creme supposedly it's organic and better than normal relaxers it only needs to be reapplied every 3 months and the hair won't break if you stop using it. To strengthen the hair before getting a relaxer, use a protein treatment 7 days prior . Always follow protein treatment with a moisturizing deep conditioner to soften the hair and ease combing and styling. Repeat the treatment every 6-8 weeks if the hair is damaged easily
* Trim your ends every 6-8 weeks. Avoid the splits moving up the hair. Even though this seems like it may shorten your hair, over time you'll need to trim less and less and then the fruits of your labor will show. Before I didn’t believe that trimming your hair can make them grown healthier. Believe me, I can testy on this. If you trim your hair, it will get healthier and longer.
* Wrap your hair with a satin scarf or sleep on a satin pillow case. Without this protection, your loose hair will move about as you sleep putting stress on your hair, drying it out, and causing split end and always wear a protective style when you are outdoor
* Put conditioner on your hair before you go swimming and rinse and condition your hair after swimming.
* Exercise 30 minutes at least 3 times a week.
* Don’t allow your hair to rub to your cloths or scarf
* Drink 8-10 glasses of water a day.
* Eat fresh fruits and raw vegetables daily.
*Never use rubber bands on your hair.
* Wear your hair up whenever possible.
* Don't relax your hair right after taking out braids.
* Don't relax and dye your hair on the same day.
* Don't leave in hair weaves for more than two months.
*Always use a protective oil before blow drying or pressing.
* Wet set rather than blow dry hair.
* Only use wide-tooth combs. You also need to comb it carefully. Be sure to use a wide-tooth comb with no seams and comb it gently from the ends first, as combing from the ends will detangle hair as you comb .Never comb from the roots to the ends until your hair is completely untangled and dry. To keep your hair very thick and full
* Don't allow braids or ponytail to be pulled too tightly.
* Relax your hairline last. This is the weakest part for most of us. We need to be very gently with this.
* Do some Braid, Twist or just let your hair for sometimes. Wearing your hair braided will help your hair grow because no heat is being put on it. Just make sure to constantly moisturize your scalp and spray your hair with braid spray so the braids don't dry out.
*Protein is a must. Incorporate protein in your foods, supplements, and hair care products, it will strengthen the hair shaft, reduce breakage, and stop shedding. Great foods that contain protein and hair strengthening vitamins are fish, turkey, chicken, beans, sunflower seeds, coconut, spinach, carrots, whole wheat, and soy.
* Limit your use of most drugstore shampoos. Try shampooing with your hair with 1/2 cup of green tea, 1/4 tsp of baking sods, 1/4 tsp of lemon juice, and 2 T of olive oil. Drugstore shampoos contain some harsh chemicals, so try to reduce the use of it.

* Do not rub your hair when you towel dry after a shampoo. Air dry your hair instead

*Get your blood circulate. Exercise makes your hair grow faster, because more oxygen is circulating to the scalp. Oxygen gives life. Also, massage your scalp daily with light natural oils. Shea, Jojoba, Vitamin E, and Coconut all are excellent.
*Do your research. By doing this you will learn about products and techniques. Educated yourself.
* Don't overdo with all the stuff, your hair might get damaged. Listen to your hair; try to pain attention to hit. You hair will tell you how is reacting to the product or technique used.
* Keep heavy oils, "grease" and gels out of your hair. (Gels tend to thin and break off hair, heavy oils and "grease" take away volume and movement and also break off hair.
* Chemically-treated hair must always be treated with a leave-in conditioner after every wash.
* Massage your scalp daily. This allows the blood circulation.
* Deep condition at least once a month. By doing so, will make your hair healthy and strong. To do this takes a creamy deep conditioning treatment that contains both moisturizing and mild protein ingredients to clean damp hair. For best results, apply a plastic shower cap and let hair sit for up to 30-45 min. To save time, sitting under a hooded dryer on medium heat for 15-20 min is equally effective. Deep conditioning regularly and consistently can help maintain the hair's integrity, allowing it to withstand regular manipulation and styling, as well as preventing damage
* Avoid hair care products containing alcohol and silicone (cones) as they may be damaging to your hair.
*And I think this is last, be patient. With time, sacrifice and effort, you hair will grow longer stronger and healthier.

Let pray, hope, faith and love

I DID SOME CLEANING HOUSE
Early this week I threw out WORRYING and TROUBLE, it was getting old and in the way.

It kept me from being me; I couldn’t do things God’s way.
I threw out a book called “MY PAST “(Didn’t have time to read it anyway)

Replaced it with my NEW GOALS, started reading it today.
I threw out HATE and BAD MEMORIES (Remember how I treasured them so)?
Got me a NEW PHILOSOPHY too, threw out the one from long time ago.
Brought in some new books too, called I CAN, I WILL and I MUST.
Threw out I might, I think and I ought.
Wow, you should’ve seen the dust.
I ran across an OLD FRIEND, I haven talked to in a while.
His name is GOD the Father and I really like HIS style.
He helped me to do some cleaning and added some great things Himself.
Like PRAYER, HOPE, FAITH and LOVE.
Yes, I placed them right on the shelf.
I picked up this special thing and placed it at the front door.
I FOUND IT, its called PEACE… Nothing gets me down anymore.
Yes, I’ve got my house looking nice.
It looks good around the place.
For things like WORRY and TROUBLE there just isn’t any space for them.
It fells good to do a little house cleaning, Get rid of things on the shelf.
It sure make things brighter; maybe you should TRY IT YOURSELF.
BE BLESSED AND BE A BLESSING TO OTHERS!!!!!!!!
May the lord open up the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing that you will not have room enough to receive it all.
May the Lord bless you exceedingly, abundantly above all you could ever image….
Spread the word and remain blessed..

Benefit of Drinking water

When I was younger, I enjoyed drinking soft drink instead of water. After many years of bad habit, I had a lot of acne , breakouts and I lalso believe my hair could have been much better if I drank much water. Recently, I decided to drink about 1.5 liter a day even thought it is wise to drink about 2 liter a day .I know I am betting there . Two liters a day is required to keep your body hydrated.
Summer is around the corner and this is the time when the intake of water should be increased since our body loses of the water in the form of sweat. Even though some of us would say, I don’t sweat. Believe me you do sweat…
Our hair too like our body need water maintain its moisture levels.
Many believe and have stated that water is very beneficial for proper skin care. The main stated benefit is that drinking a large quantity of water keeps the skin hydrated and prevents dry skin. Claims are also made that drinking water gives the skin a radiant, healthy, younger looking complexion with no wrinkles, and allows skin to maintain its elasticity and suppleness.
Water assists in the flushing or removal of harmful toxins from the body. Inadequate amounts of water flowing through the body, these toxins can build up in the body and escape through skin pores. This contributes to acne. Therefore, by flushing the body internally with water, acne breakouts are less likely to occur due to toxin release through the skin.
Do you think you are drinking enough water? You can check this with your urine, If this is not clear, them you need more water….
Stay blessed

Essential oils and Carrier oils

 What is essential oil?
Essential oil is a liquid volatile aromatic compound, extracted from plant cells. The cells are located in specific parts of the plants such as flowers, seeds, roots, leaves, wood, bark, or peel. They stimulate the hair follicles to grow faster. They also increase the flow of blood to your hair, which makes more nutrients available to your hair for faster and more luxuriant growth.
ALWAS REEMEBER TO MIX THEM WITH A CARRIER OIL, they're concentrated, they can be irritating to your skin if you use them without diluting them. Always blend a small amount of essential oil into a carrier oil like olive oil, avocado oil, or jojoba oil before using them.
Here is a list of some that I have used:
Basil
This oil stimulates and promotes hair growth. This can be use to massage into the scalp. This oil massage promotes healing, health, and improves scalp circulation which, in turn, promotes hair growth. Basil is good when used together with fenugreek and ivy burdock herbs.
Rosemary
Has effect in stimulating the hair-bulbs to renewed activity and preventing premature baldness. NEVER USE THIS WHEN YOU ARE PREGANT.
Arnica
A hair rinse prepared with arnica extract has been used to treat alopecia neurotica.
Sage
A strong infusion of sage used as a hair rinse may darken hair color and help reduce hair loss.
Bay
It helps your hair grow. If you have dull hair, this essential oils can restore it. It also good for dandruff problem. For stimulating your hair health you can add three drops of bay essential oil to the shampoo you regularly uses. It is restorative for dry lifeless hair, bringing back its shine and luster.
Peppermint
leaves a tingly feeling on your scalp while it's increasing the blood flow to your hair.
Ylang ylang
It works to clean oily hair and is known to get rid of dandruff.
What is carrier oil?
The Aromatherapy carrier oil is used to dilute essential oil.
Because essential oils are highly concentrated so we use carrier oils also called base oil to minimize skin irritations. Unlike any other oil ,carrier oils are not made from herbs or fruits. Aromatherapy carrier oils are almost entirely made from vegetable oils.
Carrier oils are generally cold-pressed vegetable oils derived from the fatty portions of the plant. Unlike essential oils that evaporate and have a concentrated aroma, carrier oils do not evaporate or impart their aroma as strongly as essential oils.
Sweet Almond
It’s virtually clear with a slightly golden color. Has a light sweet nutty scent, provides good "slip and glide" for massage. Helps to relieve itching, irritation and inflammation, and soothes dry skin. It lubricates the skin well, but does not penetrate it quickly, which again makes it good for massage and for protecting the surface of the skin. However, it goes rancid quickly; it is helpful to blend it with 10% of wheat germ or jojoba oil for storage.
Grapeseed
Easily absorbed, mildly astringent, tightens and tones the skin, which makes it useful for acne. It is always solvent-extracted, causing sensitivity in some individuals.
Avocado
Rich in moisturizer, with lots of skin-nourishing vitamins (A and E).Good for dry and mature skin, and also helpful in eczema and psoriasis. Best blended with other oils.
Olive (Olea europaea)
It’s light green in color, good medicinal properties, soothing and healing the skin, especially when it is dry. Does not go rancid easily and can be stored without refrigeration for a year.
Macadamia Nut (Macadamia intergrifolia )
A clear, lightly amber colored oil with a slightly nutty odor. This oil contains palmitoleic acid which promotes soft supple skin. it is Very light in texture.
Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis)
Jojoba oil is quickly absorbed. Good for dry and mature skin and inflamed conditions. Helps to control acne, oily skin and oily scalp. it is an antioxidant - does not become rancid and can prevent rancidity in other oils. has healing properties for damaged and breaking hair. This truly is one of the best carrier oils for hair loss due to breakage.
I will talk about more oils later. We have Coconut oil, castor oil which are great oils for hair.
Stay blessed

Co-Washing

While washing, massage your scalp will reawaken sleeping follicles and promote thicker healthier hair.
Contrary to popular belief over the years, we should wash our hair at least once a week. Because shampoo contains so many chemicals such as sulfates and stripe our hair from his natural oils which lead to dryness and breakage. Therefore, it is not advisable to use shampoo every week.
Instead, you can use a cheapie or lighter conditioner such V05, Suave, White Rain,Herbal Essence....
Co washing is simple washing your hair without stripping your hair of his natural hair.Once you co –wash, your scalp and your hair will be clean therefore promote thicker healthier hair.

So how do you co-wash?
Wet your hair with water, apply some conditioner and gently massage your scalp. If you are getting shower, like I usually do I wear a plastic cap while I can wash other part of my body. I leave the conditioner on my hair for 3-5 minutes. Prior rinsing the conditioner, I use a wide comb and detangle it. Note to use cool water instead of hot water.

It is important to understand that co washing is not for everyone. It is usually work better on relaxed hair.
Benefit of Co-washing:
The conditioner smell so nice that your hair will also smells wonderful.
It helps to keep your hair moisturise, resulting less breakage and less dryness.
Co-wash keeps your scalp clean, therefore promote healthy hair.
Your hair will fell soft, silk therefore more manageable

Moisturising and Sealing your hair

Hey Ladies, hope you are all doing great and enjoying your weekend!

Today, I am going to talk about the benefit of few products, tips that we can do to your hair to improve the growth.
So set back on your chair, or even laid down on your bed and relaxer.
If you want to have healthy and long hair you have to be patient, put some effort and with time you will see results.
We sometime think that our hair doesn’t grow, but in fact it is either growing at the same stage that it is breaking. The breakage is usually due to the lack of moisture.
When it comes to take care of black hair, YOU must remember to “MOISTURISE” you hair.

Moisturizing –It is advice to moisturise your hair twice a day, you can go three time depending on how dry is your hair. Moisturizers are products that are water-based and nourish your hair deep within the strand.
From our daily activities, our hair is exposed to the sun, wind, chemical relaxers, stressful styles, and heat appliances, like blow dryers and flat irons.
Often when I go to beauty store, it is sad because most of the time we have 90% of all those products what doesn’t help us to grown our hair. When buying your product, it is important to avoid “MINERAL OIL , LANOLIN and PETROLUM”.
Unfortunately, most of our products on the markets have those two killers been the first or third ingredients.
What MINERAL OIL , , LANOLIN and PETROLUM does? They blocked the moisture to penetrate our hair, but because it is cheap, therefore it is sale to the black community.
Water is the ultimate moisturizer so water based products are best for really getting the best moisture benefit. Moisturizer can also be proteins-based. This helps to prevent breakage and increase elasticity in the hair.
Sealing – After using your moisturise, you must ensure that moisture will penetrate your hair and stay in your hair. Thank to God, we have oil, natural oil.... Those oil will seal the moisture, will lock the moisture .
The key is to lock in the moisture within the strands with your oil. If you use oils without a moisturizer or before one, the oil will seal the moisture out of the hair strand and lead to eventual dryness.
Here are list of some of the best moisture that I know:
*Wave Nouveau Moisturizing Finishing Lotion

So I say to myself, if they can grow their hairs, I can do it also. I will also try to grow my hair and make some efforts, sacrifices and make some investments. Like you all know products will play a major role on this journey.
I am still growing my hair, but I strongly believe that it will grow it and get healthier.
Daily Routing (Morning and Night) Morning:
I moisturize my hair every morning with (Wave Nouveau Finishing Lotion) , spray my hair with a leave in and seal it with my mix oil or any of my favourite oil.
Night: I moisturize my hair every night with (ORS Hair Fertilizer, ORS Carrot oil, ORS Olive oil), spray my leave in and seal with hair my mix oil or any of my favourite oil.
Because my edges are seriously damaged, I use (Castor oil, ORS Hair Fertilizing Serum, Aloe Vera gel). These AIDS will promote the grown.
Random Stuffs that I do to my hair, but very they are very important.
-I try to baggy my whole hair overnight every time I fell my hair need more moisture. This is also great for split end prevention.
- I massage my scalp at least 2 twice a week.
- Hot oil treatment at least 2 twice a month (pick any of my oil)
Weekly Routing Wednesday and Saturday or when I am lazy Thursday and Sunday
I CO-WASH with one of my Herbal essence or Aussie 3 minutes (I mix with my mix oil, with a plastic cap with or without heat. Leave in on for about 15 to 20 minutes after that I condition my hair. )
When I don’t have any of those cheap conditioner such as Herbal essence or Aussie 3 minutes , I will use my mix oil , honey and mayonnaise.
CONDITIONER (with plastic cap and under the hood dryer leave it for 1 hour) As I am still trying to find which condition is best for my hair, I usually pick one or two conditioner. I will always add the following:
- 1 ts of Molasses ( this is great to fight shedding )
- 1 ts of Honey
- 1 ts of my mix oil
- And sometime I will add some garlic from my kitchen to it.
SHAMPOO :Currently, I would say I don’t have a shampoo. But I am using ACV once a month. I usually use the last weekend of each month. From time to time, I use the “ Dr Miracle Tingling 2 in 1 Dandruff Shampoo & Conditioner “. I am planning to buy more products by march so I will see which one will suit me best.
LEAVE IN :I don’t have a leave in either and I am not really planning to buy one. lol
I made my own mix about 2 months ago and I have to say, I am happy with it. Again we will see the result after my first relax (March 2010) since I am in my Hair Journey (July 2009).
My leave in is made of 100 % natural products which is great.
Here is my Leave mix: - About 80 % of water - 2 ts of Aloe Vera Juice - 3 ts of Castor Oil - 2 ts of each of the following ( Alma Oil, Jojoba Oil, Vatika Oil , Do Groo Oil, Grapeseed oil, Almond oil, Olive oil, Avocado oil , tea tree oil, Vitamin E. - 5-6 drops of essential oil ( Peppermint oil, Sage oil, lavender, cedarwood, ylang ylang)
RELAXER: This is the longest stretch I have done in my life because I wanted to bring back some health into my hair. As, I believe my hair has damaged a lot over the years. This is due to the relaxing, braiding and weave and also I think I neglected my hair over the years.
Going forward, I am planning to relax every 3 -4 months. It will depend on how my hair will grow. August 2009 March 2010 July 2010 November 2010
TRIM: I am planning to trim every 3-4 months. I will depend on the need and condition of my end. I think every time I relax, I will trim it. August 2009 October 2009 March 2010 July 2010 November 2010•
Tip: Avoid heat. This stuff is very bad for your hair. I have not been using heat for the past “6 months “.I am so proud of myself. I really hope this will pay.
• Drink plenty water. This is not only good for you hair, but your skin and also your whole body.
• Moisturize your hair. Moisturize your hair at least once a day. You will see different.
• Low manipulation. This is help maintaining your length. Our hair grown, but it also breaks a lot. So lot manipulation it is very important. I have not been combing my hair for the past 4 months. I use my finger and this is great. I will post more picture how I protect my hair.
• Protect your hair at night , especially if you have damage edge like me .
• Remember consistency is very important •
