Just a little story

A little girl went to her bedroom and pulled a glass jelly jar from its hiding place in the closet. She poured the change out on the floor and counted it carefully. Three
times, even.. The total had to be exactly perfect.. No chance here for mistakes.
Carefully placing the coins back in the jar and twisting on the cap, she
slipped out the back door and made her way 6 blocks to Rexall's Drug Store with
the big red Indian Chief sign above the door..
She waited patiently for
the pharmacist to give her some attention, but he was too busy at this moment.
Tess twisted her feet to make a scuffing noise. Nothing. She cleared her throat
with the most disgusting sound she could muster. No good. Finally she took a
quarter from her jar and banged it on the glass counter. That did it!
'And what do you want?' the pharmacist asked in an annoyed tone of
voice.. I'm talking to my brother from Chicago whom I haven't seen in ages,' he
said without waiting for a reply to his question.
'Well, I want to talk to you about my brother,' Tess answered back in the same annoyed tone. 'He's
really, really sick....and I want to buy a miracle.'
'I beg your pardon?'
said the pharmacist.
'His name is Andrew and he has something bad
growing inside his head and my Daddy says only a miracle can save him now. So how
much does a miracle cost?'
'We don't sell miracles here, little girl.
I'm sorry but I can't help you,' the pharmacist said, softening a little.
'Listen, I have the money to pay for it. If it isn't enough, I will get
the rest. Just tell me how much it costs.' The pharmacist's brother was a well dressed man. He stooped down and asked the little girl, 'What kind of a miracle does your brother need?' I don't know,' Tess replied with her eyes welling up. I just know he's really sick and Mommy says he needs an operation. But my Daddy can't pay for it, so I want to use my money..'
'How much do you have?' asked the man from Chicago .
'One dollar
and eleven cents,' Tess answered barely audible.
'And it's all the money
I have, but I can get some more if I need to.' 'Well, what a coincidence,' smiled the man. 'A dollar and eleven cents---the exact price of a miracle for little brothers.' He took her money in one hand and with the other hand he grasped her mitten and said 'Take me to where you live. I want to see your brother and meet your parents. Let's see if I have the miracle you need.'
That well-dressed man was Dr. Carlton Armstrong, a surgeon, specializing in neuro-surgery. The operation was completed free of charge and it
wasn't long until Andrew was home again and doing well.
Mom and Dad were happily talking about the chain of events that had led them to this place.
'That surgery,' her Mom whispered. 'was a real miracle. I wonder how
much it would have cost?'
Tess smiled. She knew exactly how much a miracle cost....one dollar and eleven cents...plus the faith of a little child.
In our lives, we never know how many miracles we will need.
A miracle is not the suspension of natural law, but the operation of a higher law.
I know you'll keep the ball moving!
Here it goes. Throw it back to
someone who means something to you!
A ball is a circle, no beginning, no
end. It keeps us together like our Circle of Friends. But the treasure inside for you to see is the treasure of friendship you've granted to me.
Today
I pass the friendship ball to you.
Pass it on to someone who is a friend
to you..
MY OATH TO YOU...
When you are sad.....I will dry your tears.
When you are scared.....I will comfort your fears.
When
you are worried......I will give you hope.
When you are confused.....I
will help you cope.
And when you are lost...and can't see the light, I
shall be your beacon...shining ever so bright.
This is my oath.....I
pledge till the end.
Why you may ask?.....Because you're my friend.
Signed: GOD

3 MONTHS PLAN

Here are some, they may need to be change according to the result: -Prepoo will be adding to my regimen once a week. This will be done overnight before wash day.
-Baggy Method to be done once a month. I notice that sometime my end get dryer, so this should hep them.
-Exercises. I will try to do this twice a week on my wash day. At least 1 hour on each day. I won’t subscribe to the gym yet, but I will try to dome from home.

Low manipulation, a must. From 8 week. I will wear wig every day, so avoid manipulation. Will not touch my hair. I will avoid the mistake I did this time.
More hot oil treatment to strength my hair. Currently, I am doing this 2 time a month. I may increase to once a week and see how my hair will react to this.
I also want to incorporate the Henna Gloss. I will do this once a month. Preferable the day I clarifying my hair.
I will also increase my scalp massage to daily. Especially on my edges and nappy. I will do this at night when doing my night moisture and sealing.
From the low manipulation, this is my plan
- Week 1 to week 4 : Roller set and Flexi Roll
- Week 5 to week 8 : Bun
- Week 9 to week 12 : Wig
I will make sure the following are include on my weekly or monthly routing as they have a lot of benefit on hair:
- Molasses
- Honey
- Garlic
- Black Tea Rinse
- Rose water
- Egg
- Mayonnaise
- Indian Powder
- Glycerin and so many  more..

Let me know if I am missing something.
From my last two parts, I notice that I had a lot of breakage from week 10. It was due to the two textures, but also it was my mistake. I manipulate my hair too much. I will try to leave it alone as much as I can.

PLAN AFTER TEX RELAX, HAIR JOURNEY PART 3

One day before my relax day, my head was itchy so so bad, I don’t know. It was crazy. Thanks to Traycee  from KISS for the advice. That was really helpful. Ok, let talk what I a planning for the next 3 months. This may change as my hair react.
I notice few things and came up to a concluding. I will have to double the hard work spend more time to study / listen to my hair and really understand that.
I know that I am already working hard, but I will need to OVERTIME lol,, so I can get better pay, let think this way. So here are some goals that I set to myself. They are not in order,
Both sides for my edges: They have to be full by the end of the year. No necessary long, but I want them to look full.
Nappy area. It is very coarse, but also a bit shorter. It is better then it was few months ago, but still believe it should look way better and longer.
Notice also that my left end side is shorter then the right hand side. So, need to work on that. I want even length. Funny, because after the perm, both side kind of look the same. ( it could be my imagination )
So check out my next blog, to see my planning for the next 3 months.

Tex-relax Day

Yep, I Tex- relaxed my hair on Saturday June 12th, as I planned. I end my stretch at 12 weeks post with few days. Let just say 12 week post. This is part 2 of my hair journey. I have to say I was very nervous few days before the relaxer, even on the day. I didn't relax bone straigh anymore.

I use the ORS super strength as my hair is coarse.
Here is the step done after my relaxer:
Use the clarifying shampoo provide in the pack three for 3, 3 and 5 minutes each time.
Use the Aphogee 2 minutes reconstructor for 2 minutes only
Use the Roux Porosity Control for 1 minute.
Use the ORS replenishing pak for 1 hour without heat. I had to clean and cook. I was every busy housewife last Saturday.
After I was the conditioner out, and use the following:
- Herbal Essences Split End Protector for Long Hair
- Neutrogena Triple moisture silk touch leave in
- ApHogee Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer
- ORS Olive Oil Replenishing Conditioner provide in the pak.
Can’t really remember the order, I don’t think it makes a different. If it does, please halla me
As I have not been using heat on my hair, expect the hair bonnet and the hood dryer. I didn’t blow-dry or flat iron.
As per the picture below, I think I have just hit SL SL SL SL .. I AM VERY HAPPYYYYYYYYYY.
I know that some many have longer hair them me, but I have to say that I came to realise that sacrifice, hard work, time, patient and some investment will pay off.
It is so tick compare to the previous picture, I guess this is due to the castor oil and the fact I don’t use heat.
On one side, I feel that my hair didn’t grow that much; I wish It could be longer and I will work harder and wait …
One more thing, I didn’t trim my hair, but I will dust my end this weekend.

End of Streching and relax day

Mega Tek Updated

I don’t see any result on the use of Mega Tek. I don’t know if it is too early to conclude or not.I also start using Jamaican Black Castor oil, peppermint and rosemary oil on my scalp and my edge. About 2 weeks ago. Funny, but my hope are more on the Jamaican Black Castor oil, peppermint and rosemary oil mix then the Mega Tek . I will continue using the mega Tek until I finish the bottle, but I will not repurchase this or recommend to someone. Lol ...we never know thing may change in the next months, considering the stage of my edges.
I will also keep you update on the Jamaican Black Castor oil, peppermint and rosemary mix.
Check out the picture before  ( left one )Mega Tek and after ( right one ) what do you think?
I think I just need to be patient, as I really damaged those my edges over the years.

Weekend Away and Weeding

This weekend I went away with my husband. We have a weeding to attend in the west of Ireland (Galwayon Friday 4th and we took the opportunity to stay there for a long weekend. As Monday June 7th 2010 will be bank holiday.

I check the weather forecast and it look good. Only until today, it is raining since morning, but we had a nice weeding which was great. We stay  in the Loughrea hotel & spa which  is beautifill .
Here is the link for the hotel if interest. lol   http://www.loughreahotelandspa.com/sleep.html
Stay bless

Hair Bonnet dryer

When doing my deep conditioner for mid-week or weekend, I always use the hood dryer unless I have to going out. I will wear some thing on top to cover it. Using the hood dryer has helped me tremendously. The only problem is that when I under the hood dryer, I can’t talk on the phone, can’t talk to or listing to anybody around me. Even I can’t watch the TV.
The noise from the hood dryer doesn’t make it possible , even though I reduce to the lower temperature. Until I saw on the website that you can also use the Hair Bonnet dryer while watching movies, listen to anybody… and this was only 9 sterling from a UK website, so I say why not.
I bought this, but what I didn’t know that you will have to connect this to hand dryer to have the heat. See some picture below. This is very annoying to me.
Here are the good and bad side of this tool
Good:
It made in way that you can travel it. You can fold it.
It is so small that you can put it inside your hand bag or any small bag.
You can be on the phone while taking care of your hair.
You can watch TV or listen to the radio .
Bad
The hand dryer to be use need to be small, as this is very small. Especially at the part where you put your hand dryer. This is may be the only annoying thing about that. My hand was so hot and sore after 10 minutes. I also think it is dangerous. I think I may need to buy a small hand dryer that can be connected.
This is plastic material, meaning it can be destroy easy.
Conclusion, I will keep this despite the connection issue. I will more use it when travelling or on emergency.

I would not the product to moisturise my whole head. I don’t even consider this to be a moisturise like other claim. I think it is leave in, but a very good leave in and that it.

I heard so much about this product line that I say to myself I have to try it, even for 2 sec. I must try it.
Just like one of those products that you have so much expectation.
I will talk about those two products as I have used them (Silk Touch Leave-In Cream and Deep Recovery Hair Mask)
When I use it first on dry hair, my hair felt like I didn’t put anything on that. So I add more, still nothing didn’t see any result. It seems to me like my hair was to strong for that. I don’t know how to explain. Imagine someone being sick and taking some medication to get better, but it doesn’t help. I hope you get me. So I waited until my wash day, after my hair was damp, I put some of that and it was better. I would say much better. Them I was happier.
Compare to the silk touch. I LOVE THIS. I think I came to understand that my hair like anything that it is creamy. This is due to the fact I am not bones straight relax and my hair type also. I don’t put that much and my hair is much happier. The container is perfect, easy to use. I really don’t mind putting my finger inside. I always clean my hand with soap after doing my hair because of my nails. (Also working on growing them) Another US product, so shipping issue. I use it as a deep conditioner, especially when my hair feels so dry. This is so rich and helps to get the moisture back in my hair. I usually put glycerine and Honey on all my deep condition but this is one I can go without them and my hair will be so soft after.

Elasta QP Mango Butter

This is what they say about the product: http://www.elastaqp.com/womenintensive.htm • Intensely rich thermal protecting treatment
• Penetrates, protects and remoisturizes, leaving hair strong and healthy
• Olive and coconut oils target dry ends and help prevent damage
• Shine-enhancing, non-greasy formula
• Size : 4.6 oz

My opinion and experience with this moisturizer
OMG, I love this stuff so much. It is sad that I can use it as much as I would because I am currently using Mega Tek on my Edge. As this is a moisturiser, but that containing some protein on it. (such as hydrolyzed silk) therefore I only use this for the rest of my head.
I used this few time on my hair and this is really good for coarse hair. I think this will be a very good moisturiser in winter, as it is so dry and this is very heavy one.
This is only my opinion, as I did some research on this products and notice that some may women of colour didn’t like it.
Some say that it didn’t do anything on that hair, so say that it makes their hair so dry, but I love this.
I don’t think it is very pricy but it is not easy to find, again here in Ireland, I buy 80 % of my products online. I LOVE the smell, it is credible. It had that Mango smell, huhu humy.
Very creamy, I also think my hair loves it. I am not relaxed bone straight; I think this will be a bit too heavy for bone straight relaxed hair. I love using this on my root after using Hollywood beauty Castor oil. The combination, keep my root so soft, moisturised. And sometime, I use just a little on my end.
Ingredient:
Aqua(purified water), squalone(olive oil derived), caprylic/capric triglyceride(coconut oil derived), peg-75 lanolin, behnitrimonium methosulfate, hexadecanol, cetearyl alcohol, ceteareth-20, dimethicone, phenyl trimethicone, mangifera indica(mango) seed butter, theobroma cacao(cocoa) seed butter, hydrolyzed silk, serica, methylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben, fragrance, fd&c yellow no.5.
